Do you need help setting them up to download library books? The Montgomery County Norristown Public Library has created several tutorials to assist patrons in downloading library eBooks on to a variety of devices. If you don’t see the information that you are looking for, please contact the Upper Moreland Free Public Library Reference Desk for advice or assistance.

Using OverDrive
How to Use the OverDrive Website to Search for eBooks and Manage Your Library Digital Account

Using Adobe Digital Editions
How to Download Adobe Digital Editions and Get an Adobe ID. This step is required to use Overdrive eBooks with some types of devices.

Non-Kindle eReaders
These readers require the use of a personal computer and involve a transferring eBooks of other materials to your device via a USB cable plugged into your computer. Selected the tutorial for the type of e-reader that you have.

Sony Daily Reader(PRS950)

Sony Reader WiFi(PRS-T1) This dedicated eReader is in a class of its own as it does not require a computer in order to look for and borrow library eBooks. Everything happens right on the reader. This reader cannot read Kindle books.

Kindle eReaders
The Kindle requires the use of a computer (but it does not have to be your computer) and a wireless connection to get library books. The Kindle Fire does not require a computer. The Kindle Fire, which has some tablet capabilities, is able to read ePubs if the user installs the OverDrive Media Console app. Select the turotial for the type of Kindle device you have.

On Display @ Your Library

The current display at the library is “Model Kits: Then and Now” an exhibit by Albert DiCosimo, Artist/Modeller. The Library’s display cabinet is filled with completed models and educational information about the hobby and craft of model building. Come to the library to discover a short history of modeling, including some of the benefits as a hobbyist, and see some fabulous examples of model kit figures of the golden years of TV and movies.
