The Upper Moreland Free Public Library provides free hands-on computer training for beginners. Class sessions are 1 & 1/2 hours long. Please read below for the dates and times. Class size is limited to six people and registration is required. You may register 2 weeks before the class. Call 215-659-0741.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:

Computer Basics – Never used a computer? Not sure how to getting started? No problem! We’ll teach you computer terminology, the basic parts of computers, keyboarding skills, and how to work with windows and files. No prior experience is necessary. Students will Call 215-659-0741 for more information and to register.
Introduction to the Internet – Does everyone tell you to go to www…? Don’t know what that means or how to do it? You need to learn about the Internet and the World Wide Web! We’ll teach you to navigate the Web with the Internet Explorer web browser, find information using search engines and directories, explore websites, and print web pages. This class is two sessions. Participants are required to know how to use a mouse and have basic computer skills.
Beginner’s Microsoft Word – Need to write a letter or make a flyer? Create professional-looking documents? Learn how to with Microsoft Word! We’ll teach you to edit and format text, adjust margins, insert clip art and photography, correct spelling, save, and print files. This class is two sessions. Participants are required to know how to use a mouse and have basic computer skills.
Beginner’s Excel – Knowing your way around a spreadsheet is a good tool to have in today’s job market. Want to take the first steps? We’ll teach you! Learn about cells, formulas, charts, and the basics of data analysis.
