UMFPL Pandemic Response latest update effective November 23, 2020
During the Pandemic UMFPL will follow guidelines outlined by the PA Governor, Office of Commonwealth Libraries, or UMFPL Board of Trustees as appropriate for the situation. Including: With the Library open 7 days a week there's no need for an appointment for Curbside Pickup. There are a ton of Library resources you can use from home! Check out our Online Resources and eBooks & Digital Media Pages for a full list of resources you can access online! Please return library materials in our exterior book drop only. These items will be quarantined for at least 72 hours before they are checked in, but you will not be charged any overdue fines for those days. Items that were checked out to you previously have been renewed until July 15 so that you can return them after you are comfortable doing so! You can apply for a library card during the closure by filling out our Library Card application found HERE! Once you have filled out the form send it to us via email along with proof of address (a photo of your PA Driver's License, utility bill, lease agreement, etc.) to [email protected]. We can email you your Library Card number and send you the physical card in the mail so you can access our digital resources! There will be NO FINES ACCRUED on overdue materials. All MCLINC libraries are NOT currently accepting donations. Please do not drop off book and media donations at this time. Yes, our Library book drop is open and materials can be dropped off at this time! Items will be checked-in after at least 72 hours in quarantine. Yes, the Library's WiFi signal has been adjusted to reach outside the building (on the patio near the Library's main entrance)! The network is called UMFPL and there is no password required.
