POSITION TITLE: Part Time Office Assistant / Assistant Bookkeeper
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
HOURS: 6-10 hours per week with the possibility of an increase in 2025

The Upper Moreland Free Public Library, a small-but-mighty nonprofit library located in downtown Willow Grove, is looking for a detail-oriented person to join our welcoming and collaborative team as a Part-Time Office Assistant/Assistant Bookkeeper.

This position works in-person, at the library. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently with a high degree of accuracy to keep operations running smoothly.  Primary responsibilities include maintaining files & records, preparation and deposits of library revenues, preparation of bills and regular bulk mailings, ordering and management of office/janitorial supplies, and assistance with accounting needs including payment of bills and preparation of payroll in the absence of the Full Charge Bookkeeper.  This position has significant growth opportunity, including additional hours and responsibility, for someone who excels in the role. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A high school diploma or GED in addition to two (2) years post-secondary education (business or accounting coursework preferred) or equivalent experience required. Working knowledge of Microsoft office, Google suite and bookkeeping software (QuickBooks preferred) required. A current Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance and PA State Criminal History will be required before employment begins. A Federal Criminal background check, requiring fingerprinting, is also required.

 COMPENSATION:

  • $18.00 per hour starting wage
  • Three (3) PTO per year
