Book Club In A Bag
Need a next read for your book club? We’ve got you covered. The library has over 65 book-club-in-a bag (BCIAB) kits including both fiction and nonfiction titles. BCIAB kits come with 8-15 copies of a book (may include audio books or large print books) and an informational folder with a discussion guide and sign-out sheet. Kits check out for 6 weeks. Library of Things (including Loanable Tech)
UMFPL’s Library of Things includes unexpected items available for borrowing! Along with our Loanable Tech (such as eReader, Roku streaming device, WiFi hotspot, digitization equipment, etc…) you can borrow pasta making tools, a food dehydrator, an inflatable screen, party lights, a metal detector, a human skeleton, and ghost hunting equipment, and MORE!
Borrowers (18+ with library account in good standing) signs the Library of Things liability waiver (see the waiver here with other borrowing details) at each check out and borrow the device/kit for 14 days. Keep in mind, we are Fine Free but, one exception, is items in the Library of Things Collection. When returned late the borrower’s account is charged a $5/day Late Return Fee. Museum Passes
UMFPL’s museum pass collection allows library cardholders to visit popular local museums, parks, and zoos for free! Museum passes may be borrowed for 3 days and are not renewable. There is no fee for Museum Passes unless they are returned late ($5 charge per day), damaged or lost. Please check the museum’s website for general, parking, and exhibit information.
